Written as a novel, a tale by Frank Baum in 1900, “The Wizard of Oz” became famous largely due to an Academy Award, Oscar awarded film in 1939 for Best Actor.
The success of this film led to the creation of prequels and sequels that were desperately looking for fame and recognition, such as what was the original musical film.
Perhaps the most ambitious iteration of this tale was the recreation of Oz as a theme park in Beech Mountain, North Carolina (USA). Photographer Johnny Joo visited the site and photographed the ruins, full of wild roots and dense fog.
His creepy photo story has captured the magical place that will gradually become the perfect setting for your worst nightmares.
